This game with Kohli vs Sarfraz is also a much hyped one as every single cricket fan was talking about the match from so long.
By the way, Yes it is silly. It is really just a cricket match and not a war in itself but if you login to social media and read tweets, comments etc it is not less than a war too.
I know, India and Pakistan, both are politically not at all connected but still both the nations are to some extent connected socially, culturally and bollywood plays a big role too. As far as Champions Trophy is concerned, yes.. Its a big game and this is yet another reason why the match was a most awaited one.
Another reason may probably be this, that India and Pakistan both are in the same group and they will play against each other only in Final, of course if both the teams qualifies for the same and that match will surely a remembered one.
However, as RSA is in the group here are very little chances of this going to happen. That's yet another reason this match is even more hyped because whoever wins this match they will surely be able to do well in rest of the Tournament.
The another reason may be... umm... both the Teams haven't played together from long. This adds up to the list as to why this was the most awaited match at least for Indians and Pakistanis. on this Point, I'm not sure about rest of the world.
If we add another point in the list, that will be this. Both the teams are playing for Champions Trophy and both the teams are playing the first match in the Tournament. Imagine, First match in the Tournament, that too India vs Pakistan. This surely give goosebumps to many.
well, However whatever pressure or Hype was there, this match seems to be one-sided battle as India won it by a Huge Margin of 124 runs.
